  2. Support the engine unit with a lifting device and wire ropes, and remove the engine unit from the engine stand, etc.
  3. Install the engine mounting onto the engine unit.

    Tightening torque  :

    35 N.m (3.6 kgf-m, 25.8 ft-lb)

  4. Place the engine unit in engine compartment and align it with transmission.
    NOTE:
    • Be careful not to damage adjacent parts or body panels with crank pulley, oil level gauge, etc  .
    • If it is hard to insert the knock pin on the engine unit into the transmission body, precisely adjust the height of the transmission body with garage jack so that no load is applied to the knock pin  .
  5. With a lifting device and a garage jack, slowly lower the engine unit together with the transmission.
  6. Install the bolts which hold upper side of transmission to engine.

    Tightening torque  :

      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to drop bolts into the converter housing  .
      • When not using the ST, use a crowfoot wrench for tightening  .
      • Use the following formula to calculate the reading of a torque wrench when tightening with a crowfoot wrench  .

      Calculation formula

      T = 25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb) x L1/(L1 + L2)

T: Reading of the torque wrench

L1: Effective length of the torque wrench

L2: Effective length of the crowfoot wrench

NOTE: If the effective length of the tool used is unknown, consult the manufacturer of the tool.
