Power Window
- When removing power windows-related components, refer to cautions in the glass/windows/mirrors article. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
- Be careful not to lose the power supply to the power window motor by removing and installing the battery terminal or the regulator & motor assembly connector for each seat, etc. while the power window (of the driver's, passenger's, rear right or rear left seat) is operating. If it is lost by mistake, perform the initial setting of the power window. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>WORK SUPPORT>OPERATION>SYSTEM INITIALIZATION .
- Perform the initial setting of the power window whenever the regulator & motor assembly, the glass assembly or running channel (of the driver's, passenger's, rear right or rear left seat) is removed/installed/replaced. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>WORK SUPPORT>OPERATION>SYSTEM INITIALIZATION .
- Otherwise, the glass location is not recognized, resulting that the automatic operation function, window auto-reverse, window drawing foreign matter prevention, or off-delay function may not operate properly.
- Always perform the initialization with the vehicle parked. (Initialization cannot be operated during driving)
- Always perform initialization for one seat at a time.
- Do not hit or apply impact or vibration to the glass, since the sliding resistance of door glass is being learned during the initialization.
- Do not perform the ignition operation during the initialization.
- If a DTC is displayed on the Subaru Select Monitor, do not clear the memory before the diagnosis for the DTC is performed. Otherwise, DTC may not be referred to and improper diagnosis may result. Perform the diagnosis for DTCs, and repair or replace the cause of trouble before clearing the memory.
