Transmission Control Module
The Transmission Control Module (TCM) receives information from various input devices and uses this information to control No. 1 and No. 2 solenoids on transmission valve body for transmission shifting and Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) solenoid for torque converter lock-up.
The TCM contains a self-diagnostic system, which will store trouble code(s) if a failure(s) or problem(s) exists in the electronic control system. Trouble code(s) can be retrieved to determine problem area(s). See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM . Note the location of the TCM. See Figure and Figure .
