Shift Switch Circuit Check

Turn ignition off. With CC ECU connector disconnected, check resistance between ground and CC ECU connector terminal No. 12 (3-speed A/T and M/T) or terminal No. 14 (4-speed A/T). SeeFigure or Figure . With shift lever in park or neutral position, zero ohms should be present. If resistance is not as specified, check wires and connectors of related circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair faulty wires or connectors as necessary. If wires and connectors are okay, check switch function. See SHIFT SWITCH (A/T) TEST  under COMPONENT TESTING.
