Set/Coast, ACCEL/Resume & Cancel Switch Circuit Check

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect electrical connector at CC ECU. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between ground and CC ECU connector terminal No. 2 (3-speed A/T and M/T) or terminal No. 12 (4-speed A/T) with ACCEL/RESUME switch in ON position. See Figure or Figure . Continuity should exist.
  2. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between ground and CC ECU terminal No. 3 (3-speed A/T and M/T) or terminal No. 13 (4-speed A/T) with SET/COAST switch in ON position. Continuity should exist.
  3. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between ground and CC ECU terminal No. 9 (3-speed A/T and M/T) or terminal No. 1 (4-speed A/T) with CANCEL switch in ON position. Continuity should exist.
  4. If no continuity exists in any designated switch position, check wiring and electrical connectors for related wiring circuit. See appropriate wiring diagram under WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair wiring or electrical connectors as necessary.
  5. If wiring and electrical connectors are okay, check SET/COAST, ACCEL/RESUME & CANCEL SWITCH. See SET/COAST, ACCEL/RESUME & CANCEL SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTING.
