3-Speed A/T

  1. Apply parking brake. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect electrical connector for park/neutral position switch.
  2. Connect ohmmeter between Black/Yellow and Black/Red wires on electrical connector at shift switch. Check that continuity exists with shift lever in Park and Neutral and no continuity exists with shift lever in any other gears.
  3. Remove ohmmeter and reconnect ohmmeter between Red and Yellow wires on electrical connector at shift switch. Check that continuity exists with shift lever in Reverse and no continuity exists with shift lever in any other gears.
  4. Remove ohmmeter. If proper continuity does not exist, adjust or replace shift switch as necessary.
