"G" Sensor

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION: Sensor must not be dropped or exposed to any type of shock. DO NOT separate sensor from mounting bracket.
  1. Turn ignition off, disconnect negative battery cable and remove "G" sensor. See "G" SENSOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Ensure sensor bracket is not bent.
  2. Using jumper wires, connect positive battery voltage to terminal "A" and negative battery voltage to terminal "C". Using a DVOM, measure voltage between terminals "B" and "C". See Fig 1 . When "G" sensor is in horizontal position, DVOM should indicate 2-3 volts. When "G" sensor is placed upright with arrow pointing upward, DVOM should indicate 3-4 volts. When "G" sensor is placed upright with arrow pointing downward, DVOM should indicate 1-2 volts. If voltage is not as specified, replace "G" sensor.
