"G" Sensor
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION:
Sensor must not be dropped or exposed to any type of shock. DO NOT separate sensor from mounting bracket.
- Turn ignition off, disconnect negative battery cable and remove "G" sensor. See "G" SENSOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Ensure sensor bracket is not bent.
- Using jumper wires, connect positive battery voltage to terminal "A" and negative battery voltage to terminal "C". Using a DVOM, measure voltage between terminals "B" and "C". See Fig 1 . When "G" sensor is in horizontal position, DVOM should indicate 2-3 volts. When "G" sensor is placed upright with arrow pointing upward, DVOM should indicate 3-4 volts. When "G" sensor is placed upright with arrow pointing downward, DVOM should indicate 1-2 volts. If voltage is not as specified, replace "G" sensor.
