Oxygen Sensor: Testing and Inspection

OXYGEN SENSOR HEATER INSPECTION




1. For sensor-2, remove console box.
2. Disconnect sensor coupler.

3. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminals "VB." and "GND" of sensor coupler.

Resistance of oxygen sensor-1 heater:
2 - 6 Ohms at 2O °C,68 °F

Resistance of oxygen sensor-2 heater:
4 - 1O Ohms at 2O °C,68 °F

If found faulty, replace oxygen sensor.

4. Connect sensor coupler securely.
5. Install console box if removed.
