Throttle Position (TP) Sensor

ECM/PCM supplies throttle position sensor with a 5-volt reference signal. Sensor contains a potentiometer (variable resistor) that returns a varying voltage back to ECM/PCM based on throttle position. ECM/PCM uses these signals to help determine control of air/fuel ratio during acceleration, deceleration and idle.
