Cruise Control Module Power & Ground Circuit Checks

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect CC ECU harness connector. Measure voltage between CC ECU harness connector terminals No. 11 (Black wire) and No. 12 (Red/Black on Esteem; Blue/Black wire on all others). See Figure .
  2. Turn ignition switch to ON position. If 10-14 volts exist, power and ground circuits are okay. If 10-14 volts do not exist, go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Check continuity between CC ECU connector terminal No. 11 and ground. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Black wire.
  4. Locate and repair open or shorted condition in Red/Black wire (Esteem); Blue/Black wire (on all others). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
