System Tests: Notes

NOTE: PCM may also be referred to as ECM.

CAUTION: Before performing system tests, ensure battery is fully charged, as a low battery may result in incorrect diagnosis. Turn ignition switch to OFF position, before disconnecting Cruise Control Electronic Control Unit (CC ECU) 12-pin harness connector. See Figure . The CC ECU is part of cruise control actuator. DO NOT apply test equipment directly to CC ECU terminals or CC ECU may be damaged. When checking CC ECU connector circuits, connect DVOM leads by backprobing wire harness side of connector.
