Removal ProcedureInstallation Procedure

    CAUTION: Do not allow smoking or the use of open flames in the area where work on the fuel or EVAP system is taking place. Anytime work is being done on the fuel system, disconnect the negative battery cable, except for those tests where battery voltage is required.
  1. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve to intake manifold hose.

  3. Remove the EVAP canister front tube from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve and the EVAP canister vapor pipe.

  5. Disconnect the EVAP canister pipe from the EVAP canister vapor rear tube.

  7. Lift and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  8. Remove the EVAP canister vapor pipe plastic bolt and cover.

  10. Remove the EVAP canister vapor pipe 4 mounting screws and cover.
  11. Remove the EVAP canister vapor pipe.

  13. Remove the EVAP canister vapor rear tube clip.
  14. Disconnect the EVAP canister vapor rear tube.
  15. Remove the EVAP canister purge tube clip.
  16. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge tube.

  18. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
  19. Remove the rollover valve tube from the fuel tank.
