Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Suzuki XL7. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: You must perform the CIRCUIT/SYSTEM VERIFICATION  before proceeding with Circuit/System Testing.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the C1 harness connector at the TCM.
  2. Test for less than 1.0° of resistance between ground circuit terminal 9 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified value, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
  3. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminal 12 and ground.
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal and the B+ circuit fuse is open, replace the TCM.
  4. If all circuits test normal, replace the TCM.
