TCM Initialization and Learning Control: Notes
In this operation, perform INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE before performing learning control procedure.
CAUTION:
After replacing the TCM, CVT assembly or valve body assembly, failure to initialize the learned values in the memory of the existing or new TCM could result in excessive shift shocks. Always initialize the learned values stored in the TCM according to the procedure described below after replacement of the TCM, CVT assembly or valve body assembly.
NOTE:
When replacing TCM with new one and CVT assembly or TCM with new one and valve body assembly at the same time, be sure to follow the procedure below. When having replaced TCM and CVT assembly or TCM and valve body assembly at the same time according to the procedure other than the below, perform initialization procedure [B].
- Replace CVT assembly or valve body assembly. (Do not change ignition mode to "ON".)
- Replace TCM. (Do not change ignition mode to "ON".)
- Perform initialization procedure [A].
