Using Voltmeter

  1. Remove following parts.
  2. Turn over floor carpet on passenger's side.
  3. Remove P/S control module cover, see P/S Control Module Removal and Installation 
  4. Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
  5. Measure voltage between terminals "2" - "8" and "7" - "8" of P/S control module "rotation angle sensor/torque sensor" connector (1). If check result is not as specified, replace steering gear case.

    Torque sensor voltage 

    Between terminals "2" - "8": 2.5 ± 0.127 V 

    Between terminals "7" - "8": 2.5 ± 0.127 V
