Module - Body Controller - BCM (1st Generation) (RHD) - Remove And Replace: Installation

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2020 Tesla Model S, 2019 Tesla Model S, 2018 Tesla Model S, 2017 Tesla Model S, and 2016 Tesla Model S. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

  1. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
  2. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See GATEWAY (UNLOCK) .
  3. For the body controller, in Toolbox 3, click the Actions  tab, type "PROC-BDY" into the search field, click PROC_BDY_X_BDY-PEKTRON-VIN-LEARN, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  4. For the security controller, in Toolbox 3, click the Actions  tab, type "PROC-SEC" into the search field, click PROC_SEC_X_PEKTRON-VIN-LEARN, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  5. Relearn all keys. See Key Fob - Program .
  6. For early Model S vehicles, in Toolbox 3, click the Actions  tab, type "immobilizer reset" into the search field, click PROC_DI_X_IMMOBILIZER-RESET, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  7. Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle.
