TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS - INSERT, SUBFRAME, REAR (REMOVE AND REPLACE)

Rear subframe insert that threads into the rear underbody casting. 300 N.m (221.2 ft-lbs) 
  • 30 mm socket
  • Long 1/2 in breaker bar
  • Flex head 1/2 in ratchet

TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS - SHEAR PLATE, REAR SUBFRAME, FRONT, LH (REMOVE AND REPLACE)

Small bolts that attach the LH shear plate to the HV battery (non-Structural Pack) 35 N.m (25.8 ft-lbs) 
  • 13 mm socket
  • 3 in extension

Small bolts that attach the LH shear plate to the HV battery (Structural Pack) 62 N.m (45.7 lbs-ft) 
  • 13 mm socket
  • 3 in extension

Large bolt that attaches the LH shear plate and rear subframe to the body 150 N.m (110.6 lbs-ft) 
  • 21 mm socket
  • 6 in extension

NOTE: The bolt and nut will be tightened to specification during the Four Wheel Alignment (Check and Adjust) at the end of the Front Subframe Assembly (Remove and Install) procedure.
Bolt and nut that attaches the LH rear lower fore link to the knuckle 76 N.m (56.0 ft-lbs) 
  • 18 mm socket
  • 18 mm ratcheting combination wrench
  • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

NOTE: The bolt and nut will be tightened to specification during the Four Wheel Alignment (Check and Adjust) at the end of the Front Subframe Assembly (Remove and Install) procedure.
Bolt and nut that attaches the LH rear lower aft link to the knuckle 115 N.m (84.8 ft-lbs) 
  • 21 mm socket
  • 21 mm ratcheting combination wrench
  • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

NOTE: The bolt and nut will be tightened to specification during the Four Wheel Alignment (Check and Adjust) at the end of the Front Subframe Assembly (Remove and Install) procedure.
