Gateway SD Card - Media Control Unit - Remove And Replace: Installation

  1. Insert the new SD card with the pins facing towards the touchscreen.
  2. Push the SD card into the socket until it clicks into place.
  3. Install the MCU, refer to MEDIA CONTROL UNIT (REMOVE AND INSTALL) .


  1. Use tweezers to carefully insert the new Micro SD card into the slot with the pins facing toward the touchscreen.
    CAUTION: If the Micro SD card is accidentally dropped into the MCU chassis, completely remove the MCU from the vehicle, and gently shake the MCU with the Micro SD card slot down to work the loose Micro SD card out of a chassis opening. If this is unsuccessful, the MCU will need to be opened to remove the Micro SD card.

  2. Use the precision screwdriver or plastic probe to push the Micro SD card fully into the socket until it clicks into place.

  3. Install the MCU, refer to MEDIA CONTROL UNIT (REMOVE AND INSTALL) .
