Module - Body Controller - Front - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
  2. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect And Connect) .
  3. Remove the LH and RH underhood aprons. See Underhood Apron - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  4. Remove the front underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Front (Remove and Replace) .
  5. Remove the underhood storage unit access panel. See Underhood Storage Unit Access Panel (Remove and Replace) .
  6. Remove the underhood storage unit carpet.

  7. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace) .
  8. Release the upper locking connectors (x2) on the front body controller module.
    NOTE: Push in locking tabs, and then lift the levers to release.

  9. Release the LH middle locking connector on the front body controller module.
    NOTE: Push in locking tab, and then lift the lever to release.

  10. Release RH middle locking connectors (x2) on the front body controller module.
    NOTE: Slide the locking mechanism outwards to release.

  11. Release the lower locking connectors (x2) on the front body controller module.
    NOTE: Slide the red locking tab outwards to release.

  12. Remove the bolt that attaches the ground cable for the front body controller module.
    NOTE: 10 mm, 10 N.m

  13. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the front body controller module to the body.
    NOTE: 10 mm, 10 N.m

  14. Remove front body controller module from vehicle, and then release the ground cable from the multi system beam.
    NOTE: 2x locating tabs, 1x ground cable
