Module - Body Controller - LH - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Remove the LH front sill panel trim. See Trim - Sill Panel - Front - LH - Remove And Replace .
  2. Remove the LH IP end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH - Remove And Replace .
  3. Remove the LH middle A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  4. Remove the LH lower A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  5. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
  6. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect And Connect) .
  7. Remove the driver outboard footwell cover. See Cover - Footwell - Outboard - Driver (Remove and Replace) .
  8. Remove the driver knee airbag. See Knee Airbag - Driver (Remove and Replace) .
  9. Move the LH front cabin carpet aside for access.

  10. Use a clip prytool to release the clip that attaches the harness to the LH body controller.

  11. Disconnect the understood storage unit electrical connector from the LH body controller module.

  12. Release the connector lock, disconnect the body 1 electrical connector from the LH body controller module.

  13. Disconnect the body 3 electrical connector from the LH body controller module.

  14. Release the connector lock, disconnect the body 5 electrical connector from the LH body controller module.

  15. Release the connector lock, disconnect the body 4 electrical connector from the LH body controller module.

  16. Release the connector lock, disconnect the body 2 electrical connector from the LH body controller module.

  17. Disconnect the body 6 electrical connector from the LH body controller module.

  18. Release the connector lock, disconnect the power electrical connector from the LH body controller module.

  19. Disconnect the door 2 electrical connector from the LH body controller module.

  20. Disconnect the door electrical connector from the LH body controller module.

  21. Release the connector lock, disconnect the dash electrical connector from the LH body controller module.

  22. Release the connector lock, disconnect the harness electrical connector.

  23. Remove and discard the nut that attaches the LH body controller to the body.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

  24. Lift the LH body controller module upwards carefully to release the tab, and then remove the LH body controller module from the vehicle.
