Fuel Injected Models

  1. Engine must be at normal operating temperature. Unplug fuel injection solenoid resistor wire connector. On Van models, it is on left side of engine (under driver's seat).
  2. Disconnect electrical connector at cold start injector. Disconnect distributor connectors. Remove spark plugs and coil wire. Check compression with throttle wide open and engine at cranking speed.

Minimum Compression Pressure 128 psi (9.0 kg/cm2 )
