Cruise Control Systems: Operation: Notes

Pressing cruise control MAIN switch turns on the system. CRUISE indicator light on the instrument cluster comes on to indicate activation of system. To set desired speed, press control lever in the direction of SET/COAST position then release. To turn off cruise control system, press cruise control MAIN switch again.

Pressing cruise control lever in the direction of RES/ACC position allows vehicle to return to the set speed before cancellation. Pressing cruise control lever in the direction of RES/ACC position and keeping it there gradually increases vehicle speed. Pressing cruise control lever in the direction of SET/COAST position and keeping it there gradually decreases vehicle speed.

To cancel set speed, press cruise control lever in the direction of CANCEL position, depress brake pedal, or depress clutch pedal. If vehicle speed falls to less than 25 MPH (40 km/h), set speed will automatically cancel. If vehicle speed falls below set speed by 10 MPH (16 km/h), set speed will also automatically cancel.
