Abs Relay

  1. Unplug ABS relay connector. See Figure. Using ohmmeter capable of testing diodes, check for continuity between ABS relay terminals No. 1 and 6. See Figure. Continuity should exist.
  2. Continuity should exist between relay terminals No. 3 and 5. Connect ohmmeter positive lead to relay terminal No. 4. Connect ohmmeter negative lead to relay terminal No. 5. Continuity should exist. Transpose ohmmeter leads. Continuity should not exist.
  3. Apply battery voltage between relay terminals No. 1 and 6. Continuity should exist between relay terminals No. 2 and 5. Connect ohmmeter positive lead to relay terminal No. 4, and negative lead to terminal No. 5. Continuity should exist. Transpose ohmmeter leads. Continuity should not exist. If continuity is not as specified, replace ABS relay.
