If no faults were found while performing steps described in BASIC TESTING - 4-CYL article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section, proceed with self-diagnostics. If no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) are present after entering self-diagnostics, proceed to information in TESTS W/O CODES article for diagnosis by symptom (i.e., ROUGH IDLE, NO START, etc.).
