Engine Controls - Tests W/Codes - V6: Introduction

NOTE: T100 2.7L is equipped with OBD-II self-diagnostics. See TESTS W/CODES - 4-CYL article for servicing information on this vehicle.

If no faults were found while performing steps described in BASIC TESTING - V6 , proceed with self-diagnostics. If no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) are present after entering self-diagnostics, proceed to steps in TESTS W/O CODES article for diagnosis by symptom (i.e., ROUGH IDLE, NO START, etc.).

NOTE: Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) will be referred to as trouble codes in this article.
