Camshaft Position Sensor

  1. Disconnect electrical connector from camshaft position sensor, located on rear corner of front cylinder head, just below valve cover. See Fig 1. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between electrical terminals on camshaft position sensor. See Fig 1.
  2. Replace camshaft position sensor if resistance is not 835-1400 ohms at 14-122°F (-10-50°C) and 1060-1645 ohms at 122-212°F (50-100°C). Reinstall electrical connector on camshaft position sensor.
