July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Diagnostic Procedure

NOTE: If none of the ABS/VSC indicators light up when ignition is turned on, check for defective GAUGE NO. 1 fuse (10-amp) in driver's underdash fuse block, or open circuit in Red/Black wire between GAUGE NO. 1 fuse and instrument cluster. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  1. Turn ignition on. If SLIP indicator light stays on, go to next step. If SLIP indicator light does not illuminate, remove instrument cluster. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Check light bulb and replace as necessary. If bulb is okay, check for defective combination meter or open circuit in Purple wire between Skid Control ECU and instrument cluster. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair or replace as necessary. If no problem was found, replace Skid Control ECU. Perform steering angle sensor recalibration. See RECALIBRATION  under STEERING ANGLE SENSOR in REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Skid Control ECU harness connector. Turn ignition on. If SLIP indicator light is on, repair short to ground in Purple wire between instrument cluster and Skid Control ECU. If SLIP indicator light is off, replace Skid Control ECU. Perform steering angle sensor recalibration.
