July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Diagnostic Procedure

NOTE: If none of the ABS/VSC indicators light up when ignition is turned on, check for defective GAUGE NO. 1 fuse (10-amp) in driver's underdash fuse block, or open circuit in Red/Black wire between GAUGE NO. 1 fuse and instrument cluster. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
  1. Remove VSC OFF switch, located on instrument panel. Disconnect VSC OFF switch connector. Measure resistance between terminals No. 1 and 4 at VSC OFF switch. See Fig 1. With switch pushed in, continuity should exist. With switch released, resistance should be one megohm or more. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace VSC OFF switch.
  2. Check for open or short circuit in wiring harness between VSC OFF switch and ground, and between VSC OFF switch and Skid Control ECU terminal CSW (connector terminal A20-44). See Figure. Repair as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If circuit is okay, go to next step.
  3. Remove instrument cluster. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Check VSC OFF indicator light bulb. Check for faulty circuit in instrument cluster. Repair or replace as necessary. If no problem was found, go to next step.
  4. Check for open or short circuit in wiring harness between VSC OFF indicator light and Skid Control ECU terminal WT (connector terminal A20-69). See Figure. Repair as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If circuit is okay, replace Skid Control ECU. Perform steering angle sensor recalibration. See RECALIBRATION  under STEERING ANGLE SENSOR in REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
