Power Window Control System: Adjustment

NOTE:

When performing the operation described below, it is necessary to reset the power window (Initial setting of limit switch).

  • When the window regulator is separated from the power window motor.
  • When the window regulator is operated with the door glass uninstalled.
  1. How to reset driver and passenger window motor  :
    1. Remove the power window motor from the regulator.
    2. Connect the power window motor connector to the vehicle side wire harness.
    3. Rotating the power window motor to the up side by more than 6 turns or for more than 4 seconds.
    4. Install the power window motor to the regulator.
    2. NOTE: After the reset operation, because the jam protection function dose not work, inspect the function after repeating AUTO UP <-- --> AUTO DOWN.
  2. Check power window function  .
