One Rear Window Does Not Work

Testing Rear Power Window Switch & Circuit

Remove power window switch from rear door. Disconnect harness connector. Using DVOM, check for continuity between specified terminals. See Fig 1. See Rear Passenger Power Window Switch Continuity Check table. If continuity is not as specified, replace power window switch. If continuity is as specified, go to next step.

Rear Passenger Power Window Switch Continuity Check

Switch Position	Terminals No.	Continuity
UP	5 & 4; 2 & 6	Yes
OFF	4 & 6; 2 & 6	No
DOWN	2 & 5; 4 & 6	Yes

For left rear window problems, check continuity in following circuits:
- Between power window switch harness connector terminal No. 1 (Red/Yellow wire) and body control ECU harness connector terminal B4-8 (Yellow/Red wire).
- On Green/Yellow wire between power window switch harness connector terminal No. 6 and body control ECU harness connector terminal B4-22.
- On Blue/Yellow wire between power window switch harness connector terminal No. 4 and RL P/W (20-amp) fuse located in instrument panel junction block.
For right rear window problems, check continuity in following circuits:
- On Red/Brown wire between power window switch harness connector terminal No. 1 and body control ECU harness connector terminal B5-22.
- On Green/Black wire between power window switch harness connector terminal No. 6 and body control ECU harness connector terminal B5-10.
- On Blue/White wire between power window switch harness connector terminal No. 4 and RR P/W (20-amp) fuse located in instrument panel junction block.
If any circuit does not have continuity, locate and repair open/short in affected circuit as necessary. If continuity exists on all circuits, go to next step.

Testing Body Control ECU

Check all voltage inputs to body control ECU. See BODY CONTROL ECU under PIN VOLTAGE TESTS. If any voltage inputs are not as specified, repair affected circuit and retest system. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If all voltage inputs are as specified, substitute known-good body control ECU and retest system. If system now works properly, replace body control ECU. If system still does not work, recheck all related system wiring and connections.
