Door Lock Motor

  1. Remove door panel for access to appropriate door lock assembly which contains the door lock motor and door unlock detection switch. See Figure. Disconnect electrical connector at door lock assembly.
  2. Using jumper wires, apply battery voltage and ground to specified terminals on door lock assembly and check that door lock motor moves the door lock link to the UNLOCK position. See Fig 1-Fig 3 .
  3. Reverse jumper wires so polarity is reversed and check that the door lock motor moves the door lock link to the LOCK position. See Fig 1-Fig 3 . Replace door lock assembly if operation is not as specified.
