Sliding Door Initialization Procedure

Whenever power sliding door system operates incorrectly, or does not operated due to the following conditions, system must be initialized using procedures as follows:

• If battery is disconnected, or discharges requiring recharge, go to step  6 of the initialization procedure.
• If the PWR DOOR sliding door indicator light stays illuminated although the sliding door is closed, perform all initialization procedure steps, beginning with step  1.

1. Turn off the power sliding door system by depressing the PWR DOOR OFF switch located to the left of the steering column.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable for one minute, then reconnect.
3. Manually close right power sliding door.
4. Turn on the power sliding door system by once again depressing the PWR DOOR OFF switch located to the left of the steering column.
5. Wait 5 seconds.
6. Open a sliding door using one of the door switches (DOOR L, DOOR R, or either rear PWR DOOR switch.
7. Wait 3 seconds after sliding door stops at the fully open position.
8. Close the sliding door using one of the switches previously mentioned, or one of the POWER DOOR, D-PWR DOOR or P-PWR DOOR switches on the remote control transmitter.
9. Wait 3 seconds after sliding door stops at the fully closed position.
10. Repeat procedure steps 6-9  .
