Deceleration Sensor: Replacement

  1. Remove instrument panel finish panel sub-assy lower  .
  2. Remove glove compartment door assy  .
  3. Remove floor carpet cover center LH  .
  4. Remove floor carpet cover center RH  .
  5. Remove instrument cluster finish panel assy center  .
  6. Remove instrument panel finish panel lower center  .
  7. Remove deceleration sensor  .
    1. Disconnect the deceleration sensor connector.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts or 2 nuts and deceleration sensor.

  8. Install deceleration sensor  .
    1. Install the deceleration sensor with the 2 bolts or 2 nuts.

      Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf) 

    2. Connect the deceleration sensor connector.

  9. Install instrument panel finish panel lower center  .
  10. Install instrument cluster finish panel assy center  .
  11. Install floor carpet cover center LH  .
  12. Install floor carpet cover center RH  .
  13. Install glove compartment door assy  .
  14. Install instrument panel finish panel sub-assy lower  .
  15. Perform deceleration sensor zero point calibration (w/ VSC) (See  PRE-CHECK  )  .
  16. Check deceleration sensor signal (See  PRE-CHECK  )  .
