Key Unlock Warning Switch

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Toyota Camry and 2002 Toyota Camry. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Turn ignition off. Remove key unlock warning switch and disconnect electrical harness connector. See KEY UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Using a DVOM, measure continuity across terminals of key unlock warning switch. With switch pressed in (on), continuity should be present across terminals of switch. With switch released (off), continuity should not be present across terminals of switch. If switch does not test as specified, replace key unlock warning switch. See KEY UNLOCK WARNING SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
