Shift Lever: Reassembly

1. Install the link to the plunger.
2. Using a plastic-faced hammer, tap in a new slotted spring pin.
   1. Protrusion: 6 mm (0.24 in.) 
3. Install the compression spring and the link assembly to the shift lock solenoid.

4. Install the shift lock solenoid assembly with the bolt.
5. Disconnect the connector from the shift lock ECU.

6. Connect the 2 terminals to the connector.
7. Reconnect the connector to the shift lock ECU.

Install the shift lock ECU with the bolt.

1. Connect the 2 terminals to the connector.
2. Lock the secondary locking device.
3. Connect the clamp to the shift lever assembly.
4. Install the bulb to the shift illumination lamp wire subassembly.
5. Install the shift illumination lamp wire subassembly to the shift lever subassembly.

Install the shift position sensor with the 3 bolts.

HINT:

Move the shift lever into the S position as shown in the illustration, and then install the shift position sensor.

HINT:

Since the slide cover has a characteristic of direction-oriented, be sure to install it as shown in the illustration.
