Replace Input Sensor

  1. Remove the front and rear engine under covers.
  2. Remove the filler plug.
  3. Disconnect the connector clamp and input sensor connector.
  4. Remove the 2 bolts and transmission case protector.
  5. Remove the input sensor.

    HINT:

    Use a container to catch the transmission oil.

  6. Install a new input sensor.
  7. Install the transmission case protector with the 2 bolts.
    1. Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 6 ft.lbf) 
  8. Install the front and rear engine under covers.

  9. Add the transmission oil by the prescribed quantity since the oil drains when the input sensor has been removed.
    1. Oil grade: API GL-4 or GL-5 
    2. Viscosity: SAE 75W-90 
  10. Reinstall the filler plug.
    1. Torque: 39 N.m (400 kgf.cm, 29 ft.lbf) 
  11. Check for leak.
