Section 1011 (Sliding Roof System): Inspection

- INSPECT SLIDING ROOF SWITCH CONTINUITY INSPECTION
Switch position Tester connection Specified condition SLIDE OPEN 1-6 Continuity SLIDE OFF - No continuity SLIDE CLOSE 2-6 Continuity TILT DOWN 3-6 Continuity TILT OFF - No continuity TILT UP 4-6 Continuity If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.
- INSPECT SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ASSEMBLY CIRCUIT
Disconnect the connector from the ECU and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown in Fig 2 .

TESTER CONNECTIONTester connection Condition Specified condition 5 - Ground Sliding roof control switch (TILT) UP Continuity 6 - Ground Sliding roof control switch (TILT) DOWN Continuity 1 - Ground Sliding roof control switch (SLIDE) CLOSE Continuity 2 - Ground Sliding roof control switch (SLIDE) OPEN Continuity 8, 7 - Ground Always Continuity 10 - Ground Front door is opened Continuity 3 - Ground Ignition switch LOCK or ACC (1) No voltage 3 - Ground Ignition switch ON Battery Positive Voltage 4 - Ground Always Battery Positive Voltage (1) Exceptions: During 60 second period after ignition switch ON --> OFF (ACC) or until driver of passenger door in opened after ignition switch ON --> OFF (ACC). If circuit is as specified, replace the relay.
