Rear Wheel Alignment: Inspection

MEASURE VEHICLE HEIGHT (See INSPECTION )
INSTALL CAMBER-CASTER-KINGPIN GAUGE AND POSITION VEHICLE ON WHEEL ALIGNMENT TESTER
Follow the specifications of the equipment manufacturer.

INSPECT CAMBER

Left-right error: 45' (0.75°) or less:

CAMBER SPECIFICATION

2WD	-1°15' +/- 45' (-1.25° +/- 0.75°)
4WD Tire size: 215/70R16	-0 °55' +/- 45' (-0.92° +/- 0.75°)
4WD Tire size: 235/60R16	-0 °50' +/- 45' (-0.83° +/- 0.75°)

If the camber is not within the specified value, adjust the camber.

ADJUST CAMBER
1. Loosen the camber adjust cam lock bolt.
2. Turn the camber adjust cam to adjust the camber.
  HINT:
  - Try to adjust the camber to the center of the specified value.
  - The camber will change about 16' (0.27°) with each graduation of the cam.
3. Tighten the lock bolt.
  Torque: 113 N.m (1,150 kgf.cm, 83 ft.lbf)

INSPECT TOE-IN

TOE-IN SPECIFICATION

2WD	Toe-in (Total)	A+B: 0°19' +/- 10' (0.32° +/- 0.16°)
		C-D: 4 +/- 2 mm (0.16 +/- 0.08 in.)
4WD Tire size: 215/70R16	Toe-in (Total)	A+B: 0°14' +/- 10' (0.24° +/- 0.16°)
		C-D: 3 +/- 2 mm (0.12 +/- 0.08 in.)
4WD Tire size: 235/60R16	Toe-in (Total)	A+B: 0°15' +/- 10' (0.25° +/- 0.17°)
		C-D: 3 +/- 2 mm (0.12 +/- 0.08 in.)

If the toe-in is not within the specified value, adjust it.

ADJUST TOE-IN
1. Measure the distance between each wheel disc and corner of the cam bracket, then confirm that both are the same.

  Lower suspension arm length difference:
  
  1 mm (0.04 in.) or less
  
  If the difference between the left and right is more than 1 mm (0.04 in.), adjust it by following the step ( b) to ( d).
2. Loosen the toe-adjust cam lock bolt.
3. Turn the toe-adjust cam an equal amount to adjust toe-in.
  HINT:
  - Try to adjust the toe-in to the center value.
  - The toe-in will change about 2.5 mm (0.10 in.) with each graduation of the cam (both side).
4. Torque the lock bolts.
  Torque: 132 N.m (1,350 kgf.cm, 97 ft.lbf)
