Inspection Procedure

  1. Check voltage between terminals 1I-2/1L-20 and 1J-8 of body ECU connector. 

    Preparation: 

    Turn the ignition switch ON.

    Check: 

    Measure the voltage between terminals 1I-2/1L-20 and 1J-8 of the body ECU connector.

    OK: 

    Voltage: 9 - 14 V 

    1. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   .
    2. NG: Go to next step. 
  2. Check ECU-IG and ACC fuses. 

    Preparation: 

    Remove the ECU-IG and ACC fuses from the J/B No. 1.

    Check: 

    Check the continuity of the ECU-IG and ACC fuses.

    OK: 

    Continuity 

    1. NG: Replace faulty fuse. 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 

  3. Check Ignition Switch. See  IGNITION SWITCH  . 
    1. NG: Replace ignition switch. 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  4. Check for harness and connector between body ECU and body ground. See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  .
    1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK: Check and repair harness or connector between body ECU and battery. See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  .
