Cruise Control Main Switch: Replacement

HINT:

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (SEE  PRECAUTION  ) 

    Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.

  2. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO.2 (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  3. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO.3 (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  4. REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSY (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  5. REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Pull out the cruise control main switch assy in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration.

  6. INSTALL CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH 
    1. Install the cruise control main switch assy with the 2 screws.

      Torque: 2.35 N.m (24 kgf.cm, 21 in.lbf) 

    2. Connect the connector.
  7. INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSY (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  9. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (SEE  INITIALIZATION  ) 

    Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.

  10. INSPECT HORN BUTTON ASSY (SEE  ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION  ) 
  11. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (SEE  DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM  )
