Cruise Control System: Replacement

HINT:

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (SEE  PRECAUTION  ) 

   Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.

2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH NO.1 (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PLATE (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSY (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL LH (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSY LOWER NO.1 (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
7. REMOVE DISTANCE CONTROL ECU ASSY 
   1. Disconnect the connector.
   2. Remove the bolt and the distance control ECU assy.

8. INSTALL DISTANCE CONTROL ECU ASSY 
   1. Install the bolt.

      Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf) 

   2. Connect the connector.

9. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL AIR BAG ASSY LOWER NO.1 (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (SEE  INITIALIZATION  ) 

    Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.

12. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (SEE  DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM  )
