Power Mirror Control System: Inspection
- INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY
- Check the mirror switch continuity.
- Left side for left/right adjustment switch:
Measure the resistance of the mirror switch.
Standard (Left side):
CONDITION RESISTANCETester Connection Mirror Switch Position Specified Condition - OFF 10 kΩ or higher 4 - 8
6 - 7UP Below 1Ω 4 - 7
6 - 8DOWN Below 1Ω 5 - 8
6 - 7LEFT Below 1Ω 5 - 7
6 - 8RIGHT Below 1Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
- Right side for left/right adjustment switch:
Measure the resistance of the mirror switch.
Standard (Right side):
CONDITION RESISTANCETester Connection Mirror Switch Position Specified Condition - OFF 10kΩ or higher 3 - 8
6 - 7UP Below 1Ω 3 - 7
6 - 8DOWN Below 1 2 - 8
6 - 7LEFT Below 1Ω 2 - 7
6 - 8RIGHT Below 1Ω - Left side for left/right adjustment switch:
If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
- Check the mirror switch continuity.
- INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH
- Disconnect the outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.
- Inspect the mirror motor operation.
- Apply battery voltage as shown in the table.

If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.
- INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY RH
- Disconnect the outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.
- Inspect the mirror motor operation.
