Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK FUSE (ECU-B)

    1. Remove the fuse from the instrument panel J/B.
    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

      Standard: Below 1 Ω 

    1. NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK TVIP ECU 
    1. Disconnect the TVIP ECU connector.

    2. Check the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART (1 OF 2)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      +B1 (T3-2) - Body ground 10 to 14V
    1. NG: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TVIP ECU - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the TVIP ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART (2 OF 2)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      E (T3-29) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

    CHECK AND REPLACE TVIP ECU (See  ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE  )
