Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK SECURITY INDICATOR

    1. Remove the security indicator.
    2. Apply battery voltage and check that the security indicator turns on.
    MEASUREMENT CONDITION CHART

    Measurement Condition Specified Condition
    Battery positive (+) - Terminal 2 Battery negative (-) - Terminal 1 Security indicator turns on
    1. NG: REPLACE SECURITY INDICATOR 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TVIP ECU - SECURITY INDICATOR)

    1. Disconnect the TVIP ECU and security indicator connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART (1 OF 2)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      IND(T3-25)-IND(S4-2) Continuity
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (SECURITY INDICATOR - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the security indicator connector.
    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART (2 OF 2)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      GND (S4-1) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
      1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

    OK: Go to next step 

    CHECK AND REPLACE TVIP ECU (See  ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE  )
