Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Delete the DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR  ).
    2. Check for DTCs again.

      OK: No DTC is output. 

    1. NG: Go to step 2 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

      END 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the P6 and H14 ECU connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      P6-39 (STSW) - H14-5 (ST2) Below 1 Ω
      P6-39 (STSW) or H14-5 (ST2) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  3. CHECK OPERATION OF POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU 
    1. After replacing the power source control ECU with a normally functioning ECU, check that the hybrid control system can start normally.

      OK: Hybrid control system can start normally. 

    1. NG: Go to HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM (See  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING  ) 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

      NORMAL (POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU DEFECTIVE)
