Power Window Control System (Diagnostics): Inspection
- INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY (DOUBLE CAB):
- Remove the power window regulator master switch assy.
- Measure the resistance between the terminals of the connector when the switch is operated.

MEASUREMENT CONDITION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCEMeasurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) --> Terminal 7 Battery negative (-) --> Terminal 1 AUTO lamp illuminates - Reinstall the power window regulator master switch assy. If the result is not as specified, replace the master switch assy.
- INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY (ACCESS CAB):
- Remove the power window regulator master switch assy.
- Measure the resistance between the terminals of the connector when the switch is operated.

If the result is not as specified, replace the master switch assy.
- INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY
- Remove the power window switch assy.
- Measure the resistance between the terminals of the connector when the switch is operated.
Standard (Passenger Side):

If the result is not as specified, replace the regulator switch assy.
- INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY
- Check operation of the power window regulator motor.
- Remove the power window regulator motor.
- Apply battery voltage to the motor terminals.
- Check that the motor operates smoothly.NOTE: Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.
OK (Driver side):

If the result is not as specified, replace the motor assy.
- Check the DTC operation inside the regulator motor.NOTE: The work must be performed with the power window regulator and door glass installed in the vehicle.
- Disconnect the driver side power window regulator motor.
- Connect the ammeter positive (+) lead to terminal 2 of the wire harness side connector and the negative (-) lead to battery negative terminal.
- Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 1 of the wire harness side connector, and raise the window to the fully closed position.
- Continue to apply voltage, and check that the current changes to less than 1 A within 4 to 90 seconds.
- Disconnect the leads from the terminals.
- Approximately 60 seconds later, connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1, and check that the window begins to descend.
If the result is not as specified, replace the motor assy.
- Check operation of the power window regulator motor.
- INSPECT RELAY (P/W)
- Remove the P/W relay from the driver side J/B.
- Measure the resistance.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCETester Connection Specified Condition 3-5 10 k or higher 3-5 Below 1Ω (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2) - Reinstall the P/W relay.
If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.
