Crank Position Sensor (1GR-FE): Replacement
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- REMOVE V-BANK COVER (See REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE FAN SHROUD (See REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE GENERATOR ASSY (See REPLACEMENT )
- SEPARATE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSY
- Remove the bolt, then separate the suction hose sub-assembly.
- Disconnect the cooler compressor assembly connector.
- Remove the 4 bolts, then separate the cooler compressor assembly from the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly.
- REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
- Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector.
- Remove the bolt, then remove the crankshaft position sensor.
- INSTALL CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
- Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the crankshaft position sensor.
- Install the crankshaft position sensor with the bolt.
Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf.cm, 7.4 in..lbf)
- Connect the crankshaft position sensor connector.
- INSTALL COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSY
- Install the cooler compressor assembly with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 25 N.m (255 kgf.cm, 18 ft.lbf)
- Connect the cooler compressor assembly connector.
- Install the suction hose sub-assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in..lbf)
- Install the cooler compressor assembly with the 4 bolts.
- INSTALL GENERATOR ASSY (See REPLACEMENT )
- INSTALL FAN SHROUD (See REPLACEMENT )
- INSTALL V-BANK COVER (See REPLACEMENT )
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque: 3.9 N.m (40 kgf.cm, 35 in..lbf)
