Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN BUS LINE (MAIN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION, BUS LINES FOR SHORT CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in CAN BUS LINE (MAIN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION, BUS LINES FOR SHORT CIRCUIT)  .

      Standard resistance 

      CAN BUS LINE (MAIN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION, BUS LINES FOR SHORT CIRCUIT)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified value Result
      D1-6 (CANH) - D1-14 (CANL) IG switch OFF 54 to 69 Ω OK
      D1-6 (CANH) - D1-14 (CANL) IG switch OFF 69 Ω higher NG-A
      D1-6 (CANH) - D1-14 (CANL) IG switch OFF Below 54 Ω NG-B

    NG-A: CHECK CAN MAIN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION 

    NG-B: CHECK SHORT IN CAN BUS LINES 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR SHORT TO +B 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in CAN BUS LINE FOR SHORT TO +B  .

      Standard resistance 

      CAN BUS LINE FOR SHORT TO +B

      Tester Connection Condition Specified value
      D1-6 (CANH) - D1-16 (BAT) IG switch OFF 1 M Ω or higher
      D1-14 (CANL) - D1-16 (BAT) IG Switch OFF 1 M Ω or higher

    NG: CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR SHORT TO +B 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  3. CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR SHORT TO GND 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in Fig 3 .

      Standard resistance 

      CAN BUS LINE FOR SHORT TO GND

      Tester Connection Condition Specified value
      D1-4 (CG) - D1-6 (CANH) IG switch OFF 3 kΩ or higher
      D1-4 (CG) - D1-14 (CANL) IG Switch OFF 3 kΩ or higher

    NG: CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR SHORT TO GND 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  4. CHECK CAN BUS LINE (YAW RATE SENSOR SUB BUS LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the connector (Y1) from the yaw rate sensor.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in CAN BUS LINE (YAW RATE SENSOR SUB BUS LINE)  .

      Standard resistance 

      CAN BUS LINE (YAW RATE SENSOR SUB BUS LINE)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified value
      Y1-2 (CANL) - Y1-3 (CANH) IG switch OFF 54 to 69Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR OR SUB BUS LINE OR CONNECTOR (CANH, CAN-L) 

    OK: GO TO  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
