Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the security indicator.
    2. Apply battery voltage and check that the security indicator turns on.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) - Terminal 2
      Battery negative (-) - Terminal 1
      Security indicator turns on

    NG: REPLACE SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT ASSEMBLY

    OK : Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TVIP ECU - SECURITY INDICATOR) 
    1. Disconnect the TVIP ECU and security indicator connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      IND (T3-25) - (S4-2) Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK : Go to Next Step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SECURITY INDICATOR - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the security indicator connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      (S4-2) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK : REPLACE TVIP ECU
