Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the navigation receiver assembly connector R5.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      REV - Body ground Ignition switch is ON. Shift lever is moved to R position. 10 to 14 V
      REV - Body ground Ignition switch is ON. Shift lever is moved to any position except R. Below 1 V

    OK: REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 

    NG: Go to next step 

  2. CONFIRM MODEL 

    Result 

    RESULT CHART

    Result Proceed to
    A/T A
    M/T B

    B: Go to step  5

    A: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - PARK/ NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH)

    1. Disconnect the navigation receiver assembly connector R5 and park/neutral position switch connector A3.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      REV - A3-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      REV - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH

    1. Disconnect the park/neutral position switch connector A3.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      A3-1 - A3-2 Shift lever is moved to R Below 1 Ω
      A3-1 - A3-2 Shift lever is moved to any position except R. 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH 

    OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH)

    1. Disconnect the navigation receiver assembly connector R5 and back-up light switch connector B1.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      REV-B1-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      REV - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH - BATTERY)

    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      B1-1 - Body ground Ignition switch: OFF Below 1 V
      B1-1 - Body ground Ignition switch: ON 10 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH
